I have the same issue and have no solution yet. Keep in mind that although that may be the most recent net-snmp build by RH, but it's by no means the latest version of net-snmp, which 5.4.1.
I haven't figured out the snmp version requirements yet, it seems different based on the device. I have a Suse server that was running 5.1.x and had several missing data that upgrading to 5.4.1 fixed. However, I have a Fedora server running 5.1.x with no missing data.
