I have been working on setting up a few data sources to monitor some of my web
applications, but been experiencing problems with running commands in a
reliable manner.

I looked in the logs and saw that my script appeared to be timing out. I ran it
from the command line and everything was fine, so i decided to run zencommand
from the command line to see if i could get more info.

the zencommand ran great from the command line and even said it was storing the
data into the datapoints i had set up for that data source. so my next idea was
to run the command in zenoss as a zencommand to see if that would provide any
additional info and it changed the error I get from one of it timing out to

Code: 126 - Msg: Command invoked cannot execute, permissions problem or command
is not an executable

I have set the permissions on my scripts and the zencommand to 777 and
everything works great on command line. Why do my commands timeout when run
automatically from zenoss? please help, there are no docs out ther that have
helped at all with this problem.

thanks, Arlen
