I installed zenoss on ubuntu fesity with this help http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/install-guides/installing-zenoss-on-ubuntu-7-04-feisty-fawn/ Install was successful. This install uses the svn source. I had the following problems after install: 1. missing file pywintypes.py and pythoncom.py I downloaded the source package and copied to its place (/usr/local/zenoss/lib/python/ 2. No graphs!! I did not found any solution... So I thought to install from source file 1. downloaded source tar 2. drop database events 3. rm -fr /usr/local/zenoss Installed as the above link recommends but from source. I had the following problems after install: 1. Event views not filtered (ok it is a known bug http://dev.zenoss.com/trac/changeset/5824) I replaced the files with the good ones from svn 2. I successfully added one device. Management > Add device BUT when I clik on Main Views > Device List it is just hangs on displaying Loading... WHY?????? I don`t have a clue All daemon is running! But I can navigate to device from networks menu. Network traff and Perf Graphs are displayed and working well. Open port on device discovered. So the question is why cant see this successfully added device from Device List menu just the annoying Loading button????
