I expect this is one of the main things Zenoss Inc is selling and they
aren't going to help you get it working in the free versions...

I'd recommend taking a look at the
$ZENHOME/Products/DataCollector/CollectorClient.py file. You will need
to subclass this to build your "WmiClient" much the same way that the
current TelnetClient does. Once this is done you can get an idea of
how the plugins interact with the client by looking at the command
based plugins under DataCollector/plugins/zenoss/cmd/.
