Okay, I posted this same topic before but didn't get any response. Maybe I wasn't clear. I am trying again by rephrasing a bit.
I am in an environment where we have different offices in different cities connected to each other via VPN Tunnels. I am running Zenoss Core Appliance 2.0.6 with VMplayer within Windows 2003 Server. Booting up Zenoss: At the login screen, there's an IP address and computer name in front of the word login: <--That's fine. I expect to see that. However, it appears that Zenoss grabs one of our workstation names that's been turned off but with a different IP. For experiment, I copied the Zenoss files to a different 2K3 Server and ran it with VMplayer again. And it grabbed another user's workstation name that's been turned off. Question: Is there a way that when I start Zenoss, it would have it's own name---say, at least something like "localhost login:"? Why does it keep grabbing other names on the network? Thank you very much in advance for your help. ------------------------ exo wa -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=11701#11701 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
