When you are setting up your email notifications, add a count entry and tell it 
only to email you once the count has exceeded a specific number.  This way the 
error has to be a sustained error through multiple attempts to ping the remote 
devices, if error only happens once or twice, the count won't be exceeded and 
thus will not email you a notification.
