I have a few divces that have an interface "type" of "Layer 2 Virtual LAN using 802.1Q" yet the ethernetCsmacd template is being applied to that interface. I have other interfaces with a "type" of "ds1" that also have the ethernetCsmacd template applied to them. How is Zenoss deciding to apply the ethernetCsmacd template to those interfaces?
If you have no template named the same thing as the interface's type the ethernetCsmacd template will be used as the default. If you'd like to setup different monitoring for the "ds1" interface type, create a template named ds1 to override ethernetCsmacd.
