I tried what you outlined below but, the event still comes right back as soon as I disconnect the device from the network. :(
What do you suggest we try next? The configuration for zenping is only stored in the Zope database (ZEO). Deleting the device and restarting zenping should definitely have caused this ping even to stop coming back. The only way these ping events can get into the event console is if zenping tries to ping the device and doesn't get a response. So we need to figure out why zenping would continue to try to ping the device even after it is removed from the system and zenping is restarted. Try the following steps and let me know what happens. 1. Stop zenping (be sure that it stopped with a ps) 2. Delete the device from the web interface again 3. Start zenping _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
