I would (and do) worry about alert storms creating huge blobs of tickets. I won't be trying to auto-generate tickets (we use Kayako) until there's at least a manual dependency-graph capablity to supplement Zenoss' existing layer-3 mechanism.
I may even get lynched by our on-call people if I don't solve that
problem before starting to send alerts to the on-call pager.
