I've conducted many tests with alerting rules, and the simple ones do appear to work.
The one I really need to work is just slightly complex, and goes something like: Device Groups is not (like 5 of these) Production is Production Event State = New Severity >= Error Device Class begins with (3 of these) The problem is that I have multiple rules, which do not overlap - unless "device groups is not" gets ignored. I'm getting duplicate alerts, because devices in the specified groups go down, and both rules send the alert. I've verified that the suspect devices really are in the right groups. I also have time constraints on another rule, which are being ignored... So the big issue is that its ignoring "device groups is not." Anyone seen this before?!
