I've recently started to use zenoss and have a question regarding
devices tha t are flapping. Say that you monitor a Router for
example just using the Ping class.
If the link starts flapping and it stays up for a minute, goes down
for a minute and so on, is there any way to suppress the alerts to
prevent the same ones from being sent out everytime the link goes up
and down?
You could set the delay on your alerting rule to 60 seconds. This way
you would only receive an alert if the router stayed down for more
than a minute.
