Really, because these aren't my networks. They belong to other people, and in a 
lot of cases they don't have control over them because a higher agency (like a 
state's IT department) might give them a little control if they beg long and 
hard enough. All I want to monitor is a small portion of specific hardware on 
that network. 

In some of my cases I might be able to arrange a VPN connection into their 
network, but even if I did, it would be on a very small portion of what I'm 
looking to cover. 

So, back to my original question, is there a way to have Zenoss work sort of in 
reverse?
