Hi all, I'm new to Zenoss, and I like the functionality that I read up on the website. I've installed it as per instructions, and can add devices manually or autodiscover them.
I've tried setting up a ping monitor setup for 10 servers. I have snmp configured on those servers, and have them on the Zenoss devices. I have setup the email settings, and I can receive emails from Zenoss. How do I go about setting a ping monitor that would tell me if the devices have been rebooted, or are shutdown? I've been through the forums and the documents available, but I'm still getting nowhere. I tested with a workstation, and as of 5 days ago, it's been shutdown and taken off the network. But, it still shows up with the Status: Up. I've restarted the service and even the server and still no luck. Please help.
