So the system is setup fine, and I'm using the APC zenpack for starters. Everythings great on the monitor and performance status.
My 1 problem is I cannot get the system to email me on critical alerts. I have mapped incoming snmp traps to /perf/snmp and changed the zproperties to make it critical. Basically I want to be alerted if a UPS switches to battery power. Now, on my monitor, this shows up as a critical event, but I am still not being emailed. Furthermore, I've narrowed down the instances for the alert to simply alert = critical, and still nothing. Any tips? P.S - I've setup users many different ways to see if I was the problem, giving them administered objects and whatnot. I can't for the life of me, figure out why its not emailing me.
