I think this will need you to muck about with the RRD templates in your datasources graph definitions... I'd make a local copy of the ethersmartcard (name?? sort of like that) to an individual device for mucking about so you don't kill your graphs for everything else. Then when you figure out what works, you can put those settings in for the main template.

Sadly, I don't know anything about RRD really, so I'd google for info on the configuration of the graphing tool.
