in order to escape from High Graph values i have deleted the device Main Switch
from /usr/local/zenoss/perf/Devices directory.... and then i did add this
device again....!!!and problem is solved now i am having my this specific port
graph values in the range of 1000 Kbits/sec....
only loss was previous graph data....!!!
Graph Definition Section
Max Y=-1 means auto scale the values according to graph data....
if value is given that will set the highest value for vertical
axis.
but this has one problem when i did set the limit Max Y=1500000
then graph was showing only 1 value which is 1000 on little bit up center of
the graph and even i Zoomed in but along the vertical axis there was no
values like 200,400,600,800.....
so this option is not acceptable and changed the value again "-1"
Data Points Section there are these parameters against any single data point.
RRDMin=0 -->Any value received less than this no will be ignored...
RRDMax=?-->Any value received greater then this no will be ignored...
now i am talking about my "Main Switch" and i want to monitor its main port
form where my local network traffic is coming in and out to the
internet....link capcity is 1Mbits/sec. may little more...!!!
"--units-exponent=3" is working fine and now i am having values in Kilos....
Well, now i want to fix this issue so that in future if any "ifInOctets" or
"ifOutOctets" value of graph increases the range of 1500000 will be
ignored....and will not effect my overall Graph average or max values...
i have created a local copy of ethernetCsmacd for that particular port...
and i am free to make changes this will not effect my all other Throughput
graph values....
Now tell me if i set RRDMax=1500000 for both datapoints, this will avoid the
possible chance of drawing Highest incomming our outgoing values of the link
Bandwidth........
Sooooooory or long text !!!!!111
thanks for being there....
