Relying on mouse-overs to convey information means it's no longer at-a-glance. Kind of kills the point of a lot of views, if you ask me. On a monitoring system we run in parallel to Zenoss the statuses are indicated by a red X (critical), open yellow circle (warn), green check (okay), purple question mark (unknown), clear sphere (skipped) or purple sphere (acknowledged). Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to come up a similar scheme for your categories. Unfortunately the use of color-only status indicators seems fairly pervasive in the interface, but at minimum replacing the color-dot.png (or offering an alternative set) and adding the mouse-over text would make it at least semi-usable for some of us. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=22047#22047 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
