The only thing I can come up with is that it is a misconfiguration or version issue with SNMP. Debian and Ubuntu are pretty much one in the same, I don't know what Kinetix is using but I have reinstalled several different versions of both Ubuntu and Zenoss and yielding the same result.
Could someone possibly email their /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf file? I'm under the impression this is the issue as the instructions are not very clear to me about what to do with this file configuration when installing.
