I consider this a good thing. If I'm monitoring a web site I want to determine what it means to be down, not whatever zenoss ping says, which has been buggy for me anyways.
A web site is down if the load time exceeds 60 seconds or does not return a bit of expected text 2 or more time in a row. I check every 60 seconds. This is waaaay better than... One ping drops (which could easily be a local network issue) so disable all of the useful monitoring. I prefer this until the built in monitoring is as good as my home brew nagios plugins. Anyways I just thought I would get my 2cents in. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=25778#25778 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
