Look in past posts by cluther, he posted a fix in one of the templates to 
override what Zenoss was datafilling and doing it by I believe it was the 
ifname.  Anyway a custom template for your class might do what you need with 
the fix that he posted.  I will look when I get a few mins, and see if I can 
find it.
