You can check if an event command is running by looking in $ZENHOME/log/zenactions.log on the server where Zenoss is running, or through the web interface under collectors->localhost->daemons->zenactions->log. When the event comes in and triggers the command it will/should show up in that log. / is the root directory of the server where Zenoss is running.
