If you go to a device's menu and choose More -> Collector Plugins you will see a list of the plugins that zenmodeler uses to do the detailed discovery of the devices. The idea was that if you don't want processes to be automatically discovered for a device, you could just remove HRSWRunMap from the list. You should try locking the entire device, not just the items on the OS tab. Locking a particular component from being added is a chicken and egg kind of problem. If the component is already there, it has already been added.
