I would very much like to see templates that can inherit certain values from parent templates.
For instance, I created a ton of different local CPU templates on devices because certain servers don't have the standard .1 .2 .3, etc... for their OIDs (I have servers where the first CPU is actually .2, second is .3, and so on). If I want to update the CPU threshold value for these devices I need to go through each individual local template and update the threshold. If I could set these to inherit that specific value from the parent that the template was originally copied from I could just update it in one single spot.
