Zenoss will take whatever syslogs you point at it, bandwidth or whatever. You may have to map them to event classes since they'll probably map to /Unknown. So if your device is sending bandwidth notifications via syslog, you should be able to generate events based on the messages. Take a look at Chapter 7 of the Administration Guide on Event Classes http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/zenoss-guide/2.4.0/ch07.html and Jane Curry's excellent "Zenoss Event Management" paper (http://www.skills-1st.co.uk/papers/jcurry.html ).
