Madsn: I think I know what you are asking for; I'm looking for something similar. instead of using Google Maps, you'd like to be able to create your own diagram, such as a floor plan or a rack diagram in Visio or some other drawing tool, and use that as the visual cue, instead of google maps.
In my case, for example, I have numerous systems diagrams I'd like to use as my "status map" and use red/green/orange colors to indicate which portions of the systems diagrams are up, or down. I've seen other places where they had visio diagrams of their server racks and used their monitoring tool to indicate which servers were in good or bad status, and mapped that to the coordinates on the server rack diagram. Very useful tool, especially as a drill-down after starting at a high level such as google maps, which is cool but of varying benefit to different orgainzations based on their topology. Most-cool approach would be to start with something like google maps, click on a location to "drill into" that city, which then shows a city map of various offices in the city (still probably on google maps at this point), then clicking on a site shows a building floorplan, clicking on a room (or floor) zooms into that floor, etc. Anyone out there getting my drift? Has it been implemented yet? :) -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=38582#38582 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
