Br Eugene,
Thank you very much for the idea. We will do whatever we can. Please
elaborate how we can go about it. Do individuals or organizations nominate?
But the primary goal is to help him and his family financially. He has to
feed 10 mouths in all without limbs. So, it is high priority to help him as
early as possible. Without help he may have to beg to feed him and his family.
It is a shame to his work, courage and to all of us who talk big things as
Dalits.
So, please use your influence to collect donations from individuals and
organizations in UK. We have so far $2800 (including donations in rupees). As
you are aware, Guru Ravidas sabha of Seattle pledged $1500. As Br KP Singh
said, Rs. 5 Lakhs is a fair amount and I am sure we will be able to generate
funds if everyone contributes something.
So, please explore any possibilities of getting assistance.
I request everyone to find methods to generate funds for Br Bant Singh and
his family.
With regards
Benjamin Paul Kaila

There is a Foundation called Robert Kennedy Memorial in the US. Every year it
selects one person around the world for its Human Rights Award. In 2000 Mr.
Martin Mcwan was selected, in 1995 another person was selected from India.
With the background and enthusiasm Mr. Biant Singh is having, we are going
ahead with nominating him for this award. This would provide an opportunity to
expose the deadly dancing of caste system in India and South Asia.
The atempt would be successful provided more individuals and organisations
come forward with his nomination. Sending you all a copy of the nomination form
and contact details. Kindly, circulate this as widely as possible and work for
the success of this nomination.
