Dalits have lost their traditional protection system.The reservation helped very little.But, a growing middle class is being brahmanised.The community is failing to understand the dynamics of the globalisation.Most of the traditonal dalit workers have no chance to get any opportunity initiated by the globalisation.Their safety net is collapsing.The neo-liberal politics has privatised everything.The community is being fragmented.In market,dalits have not much purchasing power.The land reform agenda has been neglected.the power elite has no interest in redistributuion of lands.A new strategy is essential for dalits in kerala.
