Thought I'd lost my poet voice for prose. But it seems
to be back again, encouraged by all your voices.

In The Pale Yellow Light
In the pale yellow light,
Your face in mine
Like a blender. One pulp.
Our face wine.
And we talk our faces,
How smooth your nose is,
And your mouth, so full
Of promise and wonder
Egg rolls and surrender.
Your eyes, the liquid
In mine. And mine
The hardness
In yours.
Seeing beyond sight
Sensing without sense
Fixed eyeballs, two eggs
Coffee and infinity.
In the pale yellow light
No beginnings
No ends
No you, no I
Nor us.
Nothing
But crust.
That was once yeast
Then bread.
Now heated, buttered
Then broken
And shared.
Each night I die
>From the burns of day.
Eyes shut, its
Pale yellow light again.
Yellow light and you,
Lovers in my head.
But then isnt all love imagined?
And reality really dead?
