It is about 10 miles north of the Oregon/California border, and has its headwaters located in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness area. The mouth of the river is the south boundary of Brookings, Oregon. Since one of my offices is located there, I just happened to spend Friday afternoon visiting that office, and just happened to have my fishing stuff in my truck, and just happened to be there when one of the guys from the office drove by with his boat. Life is good.
