An Icon of the 2500 should now appear on the desktop.

Now when you select print with in a document a window appears with your
printers page in it
ie: Color, size of paper how many pages etc.

All should be OK now.

I hope this all helps to solve you problem

It did. I don't know how, but it did, for the most part. I'd tried the 2500 driver before, and it didn't work then, maybe because I had AppleTalk issues, but I unplugged the cable, blew on the ends of it, stuck it back in, and then selected the 2500 in the Chooser again and this time it seemed happier, and sent the test page to print. Everything made noise and the printer started printing.

Granted, nothing came out on the paper, but I thhink that's an ink cartridge issue, no idea how long it's been sitting unused, it's got cartridges in that say they're knockoff Canon compatible, refilled the black one and was able to get a printer test page out of the thing when it wasn't connected to the computer...

Thanks!
