Ah, the original World Wide Web ...

Of course, that method can take months or  years  to  spread  a  tune
around  the world, and it tends to get badly mangled in transit.  Now
we have the Internet to do the spreading in seconds,  and  the  email
"system" (with its infamous line-wrap daemon) to do the mangling. And
the fun that results when people decide that ABC should  be  packaged
inside HTML.
