Even better, if you have an HP Laserjet 6P, the printer driver can create
pdf files directly.  You get the option of print to printer, print to
a postscript file or print to a pdf file.  No special key combinations
required, the settings are in the print dialog.

Best of all, you don't even need the printer, just the driver.  I
haven't looked to see, but you should be able to download the driver
from Hewlitt Packard's site.
