Why do you think PDF is bloated? In my experience PDF is as good or better
than PS and usually 5 or 10 times SMALLER. Not all PDF generators are the
same. If you use ghostview (pdfwrite) to generate PDF it will be
bloated. I use Adobe Acrobat 4.0 and it is really excellent.
