Im UK user as well, and can only use GTalk (via the IM app). The opening screen shows my Google Take account in a "list view" kind of view, as if one should be able to add other accounts. But the menu button does nothing. Long press/hold on the GTalk account opens a menu "Sign Out" and "Settings", long press else where does nothing.
But there is no version (windows etc) of Gtalk that supports other IM accounts. So this leaves me wondering what the problem is!?
