1) This is what annoys me so much about Debian: their
penchant to fork codebases without providing any patches
upstream (or reminding the reporter to do so themselves).

2) The patch IMO is a trivial bit of code and is pretty much
the most obvious way of implementing this feature in apreq.
There is some cruft in there that can be removed, and the FLAG
bit probably shouldn't be 14, but otherwise if I wrote this 
feature myself it's exactly how the code would've turned out.

3) Even if we aren't legally bound to do so, morally we should
make an effort to contact the author and get his permission
to include + acknowledge his work.
