Susan I find that the best way to give my dogs pills is to squish some cat food or really smelly stuff like sardines or cheese around the tablet. Sometimes I find I have to roll the tablet 2 or 3 times if Leo spits it out, but eventually he takes it & he mostly thinks it's a treat because both he and Oscar love cat food. I always say to them 'sit & be good & I'll give you a treat' They know the word treat & before they realise it's a tablet wrapped in the treat they've taken it.
