Possibly a ticket regarding glibc-2.8 and gcc-4.3 should include most of BLFS. Dammit people, of course there are issues, it has been mentioned before. If you are going to complain, provide a fix. There aren't enough people available to keep BLFS up to date with LFS SVN.
If devs back in the day wouldn't have relied on the slackness of gcc, there wouldn't be half of the problems today. Now devs need to pay attention to how they write code. No more "well it works, that's all that matters." Provide a fix in a ticket or here and it'll get merged with the book. Don't just say, "this doesn't" work and provide no way for a fix. That's more work for those few on the project. It'll help propel BLFS to a current working version with LFS-SVN. -William -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
