I'm bcc'ing a guy who owned one for several years, he can probably give you more details about the differences. Unlike the M3 that only has the hood in common as body parts, the Cabs are the same. The Cab was not produced by M-Technic but built in the sport plant in Garching Production started in May 1988 with a none catalyst 200bhp engine. (137 build) Oct. 88- May 89 195bhp catalyst equipped engine. No production for 10 months. March 90 - July 91 215bhp Total catalyst built 786 Isbn for book is 0-7603-0898-5 BMW M-Series 1978-1999 by James Taylor. If want to know anything about production of the M cars it has most answers. According to BMW NA's specs, the cars were identical to the 325iC with the exception of the exterior appearance kit which was actually called the "Limited Edition Appearance Package". The option (code 770) cost $1,850 and consisted of exclusive colors/combinations (Alpine white with Lotus white interior or Diamond Black w/black), color-matched cross-spoke wheels, aerodynamic body modifications, leather handbrake handle and boot, and leather manual gearshift boot. Interior specs also list the Motorsport leather/cloth upholstery as part of the package. No mechanical differences noted. I swear I've also seen one in Macau blue, but then I'm getting older by the day and constantly use my limited brain capacity to keep up with my kids. -Phil Marx ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Dec 2004 10:08:37 -0600 From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <bmwuucdigest@uucdigest.com>, "Phil Marx" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: e30 M-Technic info Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Thanks all who responded....this is exactly what I needed. The one I'm looking at is white with the color matched wheels and white leather seats too. It's a '92 so that means if I get it I'll have 2 1992 3 series (already have a black E36 sedan). Thanks again to all who responded and Merry Christmas! Phil 92 E36/M50 presently (Maybe soon) 92 E30 M Technic Cabrio NW Florida....weird today....getting sleet and light snow in the Ft. After the display has shown the new interval the following will appear "END SIA" The system can only be reset again after 2.5 gallons of fuel have been consumed. It sure beats poking around with a piece of wire and works on my 2002 330i and my 2000 M5 (although the wording on the display is slightly different on the E39).
