No need for a beacon, just turn on the Xenons. I've had at least 3
different night time experiences where I've been shot with laser 2 to 4
times in a row while driving a Xenon equipped car.

Detector goes off. Automatically slam the brakes. Detector goes off again,
then again, then you see the cop about 100 ft away.

No doubt the Xenon lights interfered with the range of the laser gun, at the
very least.

All of these incidents were at night, not sure if the same will be true in
daylight, but I turn them on anyway, just in case.

Too bad its out of my price range, it would make a great family
hauler (and I love Daytona Violet). On second thought, it has an
auto tranny which means my wife would be able to drive it. :(

I'd go ahead and upgrade to the E36M. Think of the fun you'd have blasting up
50 to South Shore on random summer evenings.

Mark: Haven't you learned that you're well served by assimilating your wife?
You'll get a much more sympathetic ear when rationalizing mods or track days.
I have to let my wife drive my M3. I inherited it from her when I bought her
the Allroad wagon.

Anyone know of a used left side door fron an E36 Coupe for sale,
preferably in Arctic Silver? Chicago area helps too.
