Blasphemy! Besides Chebby conversions not allowed in club racing. Oh you mean those funky 6 cylinder motors with the single throttle body that can't carry any high rpms? :-) > Fling away. I'll make a bet that an S14 powered E30 M3 will beat the S52 powered E30 at Putnam next weekend. By over 1 second a lap even and the M3 is a class down. :-P Hopefully neither car will break. d'oh! -Carlos. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! So..really.. I am interested in this "bet" :) You think..... Mario's? S14 E30(DM) will Take Akard's S52?(CM) at Putnam???? Well.. I of course, have a comment or two regarding that. Mario's $15,000.00 (I'm sure FRESH AGAIN) S14 Had better beat Mikes Stock S52... it will have over 100HP more. (On lap 1) But watch the S14 Lap times increase over the weekend.. that is IF it can hold together for the weekend. Additionally, if Putnam is a handling track, I do believe there is another PROPER engine e30 to consider a serious threat. In fact, I will bet this M52 powered e30 with 150 LESS HP will stay within the 1 sec mark or beat Mario. Same Class. Junkyard motor. It's never happened before until the other night. Is there some way to limit the sensitivity? Could a cat jumping on the hood make it go off? I'm sure cats have been on the car before w/o it going off. Is there another reason like a loose connection, battery drain, etc., that could make it go off? Just looking at the unit that plugs into the back of the glove box I don't see any way to adjust the sensitivity. Anybody BTDT? The really silly thing is that the changes BMW made were apparently unneccessary. I have helped about a half dozen people add the one-touch, lane change signal function to their E36 3er turn signals, which otherwise continue to work as before. Everyone has been happy with the change. In fact, the only complaint is that they now wished the turn stalks in their other cars worked the same way. BTW, does anyone have a wiring diagram for the turn signals in a Subaru Impreza? -John '96 318is ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 19 Jun 2005 11:41:37 -0700 From: "Scott & Charlotte Miller" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "UUC Digest" <bmwuucdigest@uucdigest.com> Subject: Re: Reprogramming DME Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> E30s have the earliest incarnation of this feature - the Check light. Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I finally put the passenger Recaro SRD into my 97 M3/4, and came across an additional wire to be connected under the passenger seat (Beyond the two that go over to the seatbelt latch and tensioner). the cord is attached to a black box about the size of a matchbox. I'm assuming that it is a sensor for the front seat that is attached to the Airbag, and that I'm going to see an SRS light as soon as I fire up the ignition. Anyone BTDT that can tell me what measures I need to take to accomodate the seat in the car? Am I sacrificing passenger Airbag functionality since the sensor is missing? I have determined that the auxiliary fan resistor is kaput (per Bentley procedure, jumping at the rad. sensor I get fast fan speed, jumping the other wire I hear the relay clicking but get no low speed). If this is wrong please let me know. I have 2 questions: 1.What is the best way to get to the resistor? I am thinking I should pull off the grill assembly rather than the radiator. 2.Where is the best place to get a new resistor? I searched the list archives and got a few hits, somebody was talking about winding his own. Not for me thanks. Regards, Jon ____________________________________________________ Yahoo! I have a small problem with my E30. When I start my 87 325e, the brake light LED on the control panel lights up and the check light in the cluster flashes. When I tap the brakes, the light goes out. Is this just some check procedure that ensures the driver that the brake lights are working, or is this not normal? It has been this way the past three years I have owned the car and I have just dealt with it, but I thought there might be a fix for it (if it is not normal) that I am just not aware of. anyone?
