Had a question about this trip; is Sabattis Bog the same as the Circle Rd/Sabattis Rd area near Long Lake? If it is, my Google maps shows it just over 4 hrs. from Ithaca (with Bloomingdale Bog another hour). With that in mind, I thought I would mention the EconoLodge in Malone (25-30 minutes north of Paul Smiths) had rooms for $70 a night (as of 10/9/15). I thought this might sound more appealing than making the drive back on the same day (something to consider anyway). I am thinking about joining the trip, however, since I live in Waterloo I would probably be driving myself and want to meet up at Ferd’s Bog. If anyone else from this area is interested in going along, please email me.
