Hi Dan.

This is my first time posting so take it easy on me.

I have used a custom tag like this one and have always found it had been very helpful to look at the _javascript_ it creates, "view-source" is your friend.

This function calls a _javascript_ function "FormXChangeMenu"  or something like it to populate the second select.

You can leverage that _javascript_ function called in the <body> tag like this <body >, where setFocus() is a _javascript_ function you have to create that will set the focus of the first select and then subsequently call the _javascript_ function to set the focus on the second select.  Keep in mind that "select".options.length is not the same as the ID's you return in the CF query set and arrays in _javascript_ start at "0"

Or you can use Ajax, wddx or  Flex. ;-)

It really depends on how comfortable you are with your _javascript_ programming.

Good luck

Subject: [CFCDEV] TwoSelectsRelated

I have been using the custom tag two selects related as found below.
http://www.arescom.com/Arescom/Arescom_2002/Solutions/CF_TwoSelectsRelated.html

Has anyone had experience with this tag before. This tag works great but when I need to use it in an edit mode I just can not get it to pre populate both boxes because the second drop down is built on the fly. If anyone can provide some insight It would be greatly appreciated.
