CALL FOR PAPERS

[Scope]

Don't miss out on the opportunity to network with international researchers and
practitioners and discuss the latest research findings and trends in
Eco-Technology and Green computing at GreenTech 2012, an event connected to the
European innovation community through EAI endorsement (http://eai.eu/).
The First International Conference on Eco-Technology and Green Computing
(GreenTech) focuses on the role of green Information and Communication
Technologies (ICT) in accomplishing more sustainable and energy efficient
solutions in computing and in promoting the diffusion of environmentally
friendly computer systems.
The event aims to bring together researchers and practitioners who are
interested in both ICT and the ecological impact of computing on the
environment. Contributions from industry experts who are committed to work on
the development of eco-efficient technologies and technology applications are
warmly welcome.

[Topics]

Original five to eight page papers are solicited.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Code profiling and transformation for energy efficiency
- Energy-aware large scale distributed systems, such as Grids, Clouds and
service computing
- Energy, performance, quality of service and other resource tradeoffs
- Energy-aware algorithms and application design
- Energy-aware language abstractions, programming systems
- Energy-efficient architectures
- Green computing in multi core/many core systems
- Intelligent Energy Management
- Low-radiation in wireless devices and e-waste
- System-level optimization, cross-layer coordination
- Energy-aware runtime and middleware
- Energy-efficient scheduling and resource allocation
- Energy-efficient grid, cloud, and data center technology
- Energy efficiency and virtualization
- Energy-aware high performance computing and applications

[Publications]

Accepted papers will be published in Springer's LNICST series and will appear
in the SpringerLink, one of the largest digital libraries online that covers a
variety of scientific disciplines, as well as in the ICST's own EU Digital
Library (EUDL). LNICST volumes are submitted for inclusion to leading indexing
services, including DBLP, Google Scholar, ACM Digital Library, ISI Proceedings,
EI Engineering Index, CrossRef, Scopus. See
http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-1068921-0 for more
information about indexing.

Authors are also encouraged to submit an extended version of their GreenTech
paper to the special issue of The Computer Journal of the British Computer
Society (Oxford).

[Greentech industry track]
The conference will include an Industry Track, where the latest developments
and practical application of green ICT will be presented. White papers,
extended abstracts, full-length papers are solicited for this track. Selected
industry contributions will be published in a dedicated section of the
conference proceedings.

[Best paper award]
The program committee will designate one paper accepted to the conference as
GreenTech Best Paper. The winner(s) will be declared during the conference.

[Demo/Poster/Tutorial proposals]
An exciting demo/poster section will demonstrate the latest trends on green
technology/computing experimentation and implementation. Potential presenters
are welcome to submit their proposal to i...@greentech.icst.org.

[Paper submission]
All the papers formatted according with the instructions have to be submitted
through the conference online system at:
http://greentech.icst.org/show/initial-submission.
