You have a misunderstanding here. The Norton antivirus program will
deactivate a virus once it comes into YOUR computer, but that doesn't  mean
that if you then send the virus to someone else that it is deactivated for
THEIR computer. If they are not protected by a current antivirus program
such as Norton, it will infect them if they open your file.
