A friend of mine whilst driving down a country lane saw a pheasanty type bird
bounce of the front of an oncoming car. Seeing it wasn't too badly damaged
bodily, and knowing for certain that it was "fresh" he stopped to retrieve his
future meal and bunged it in the passenger footwell of his own car.
Said bird was only stunned and waited, craftily , until the car had picked up a
reasonable head of steam before steaming around the car nearly causing an
accident.
