Like many consumer gadgets, this one was designed for the Winders world, and uses proprietary closed source drivers. Any hope of getting this working with a Linux PC will depend on D-Link's support staff. You need to contact them directly, if you haven't already. Ask them for a Linux version of the SharePort utility. (Then listen for the sound of muffled laughter in the background).
