I do understand Andy. I made a common mistake in that I "ASSUMED" you had an outdoor UHF antenna in place to work your vehicle with, which would have likely had coax already run. My error indeed. Best of luck getting connected to the 2 meter repeater from inside your shack. It is just a funny concept (novel/comical) to use a mobile station to act as a repeater for a more powerful base station.
