I'm afraid this is a red herring. 3 is the file descriptor of the X connection
socket, and EAGAIN probably means there's no data to be read with non-blocking
I/O. The problem is very unlikely to be related to the X connection though, but
it's probably a chip lockup, which can have many misleading symptoms. If you
really want to track this down, a good start might be searching the dri-devel
list archives on how similar problems have been tackled.
