I think Nicolai Haehnle has done some patches for this. I'm not sure if they work or not (they didn't work for my lockups) but maybe we can work out some way to reliably debug the lockups. It would be excellent if we could even narrow it down to the specific buffer that caused the lockup. I think it should be possible to do this.
