Hmm, it might be an issue with FAT32 timestamps. Could you please add "-v" to the `cp' switches and post here everything that `cp' displays while copying the lisp/ directory as part of "make install"? > shell is cmd. I guess we could rewrite the install target in lisp/Makefile so that it copies the *.el files first.
